The Belt and Road Initiative aka the New Silk Road is a plan by Xi Jinping to promote infrastructure development across Africa, Asia, and Europe with BRI loans. The loans are given to developing countries that join for infrastructure development. These loans are for this purpose of the initiative and have interest rates. This initiative leads to those burrowing countries with large debts. This leads to Beijing’s International Monetary Fund, given to countries to pay off those BRI loans. The IMF does not have preconditions and is not transparent. This is totally not predatory loaning so feel free to borrow from us!
